The course is designed to show real estate practitioners how to avoid miscommunication with consumers and colleagues, and to avoid other risks inherent in online communication. Participants will gain an understanding of the legal and ethical issues of online participation including libel, slander, defamation, copyright law, fair use, proper attribution, Fair Housing and the NAR Code of Ethics. Participants will learn how to monitor and manage their reputation online and will gain an understanding of the safety implications of online participation and how to protect themselves. Approved for 2 Hours Real Estate Related CE; 2 Hour Elective PL.
